AirTamer® A600/A700/A710
How often do I need to replace the AIR FILTER?
The CHANGE FILTER LIGHT illuminates to alert you when the AIR FILTER needs to be replaced. It may be necessary to change the AIR FILTER more frequently depending on the air quality in your environment.
Please check the recommended replacement time on your AIR FILTER (it is shown on the frame of the AIR FILTER) as the recommended replacement time does vary by filter type.
Can my AirTamer really work with a furnace fan filter?
Yes. One of the unique features of this AirTamer model is the fact that you can use any 16” x 20” filter to capture air pollutants. You may find this option to be more convenient or economical.
AirTamer certified air filters are 16” x 20” x 2”. Most hardware and large general stores sell furnace fan filters that are 16” x 20” x 1”. You can use one of these 16” x 20” x 1” filters or two of them side by side.
Note: We can not guarantee the air cleaning performance of your AirTamer when you use other brands of furnace fan filters. WE DO GUARANTEE AND CERTIFY the performance of your AirTamer when AirTamer Air Filters are used.
Can I leave my AirTamer on continuously?
Yes. Your AirTamer is Energy Star rated and consumes as little as 5 watts of power on low speed and only 34 watts on high, so it is safe and economical to leave on as long as you like – even 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Will my AirTamer interfere with home or office equipment (e.g. computers)?
No. The AirTamer meets FCC regulations for harmful interference with radio communications so you may place your AirTamer by your computer, audio players, etc. without causing any unusual interference problems.
AirTamer® A300
How does the Travel AirTamer work?
The Travel AirTamer uses a carbon fiber brush system to emit healthy negative ions into the air. The emitted negative ions attach themselves to air molecules and any impure particles in the air and negatively charge them. The negatively charged particles, all being the same polarity, repel each other and fly away from your air space and get attracted by the closest positively charged surface (e.g. chair, table, wall, your clothes, etc.) rather than entering your respiratory system.
What is the Travel AirTamer’s® effective range?
Air within a 3’ range of the unit will be effectively cleaned.
What are negative ions? Are they good for you?
Negative ions (air molecules with extra electrons) are electrically charged particles in the air that remove airborne contaminates and have been shown to have a rejuvenating effect upon our bodies. The best natural generator of negative ions is lightning, followed by ocean surf, waterfalls, mountains and forests. In clean, natural air, you’ll find the highest concentrations of negative ions. In polluted cities and confined spaces, like offices, you’ll find the highest concentrations of unhealthier positive ions.
Does the Travel AirTamer produce dangerous levels of ozone?
No. The Travel AirTamer produces an extremely small amount of ozone – only 4.4 parts per billion. The EPA limit on acceptable ozone emission is 50 parts per billion.
Can I leave the Travel AirTamer on continuously?
Yes. The Travel AirTamer has no moving parts and uses a very small amount of electricity, so it is very safe and economical to leave on for long periods of time.
Will my Travel AirTamer interfere with electronic equipment (e.g. computers, cell phones)?
No. The Travel AirTamer meets FCC regulations for harmful interference with radio communications so you may use it by your computer, audio players, etc. without causing any unusual interference problems. Pacemaker patients should not use without first consulting with their physician.

How does my Auto AirTamer work?
Your Auto AirTamer® Air Purifier uses a carbon fiber brush system to emit healthy negative ions into your vehicle’s cabin air. The emitted negative ions attach themselves to air molecules and any impure particles in the air and negatively charges them. The negatively charged particles, all being the same polarity, repel each other and fly away from your breathing space and get attracted by the closest positively charged surface (e.g. car seat, floor, dash, etc.) rather than entering your respiratory system.
What is the unit’s effective range?
Auto AirTamer effectively cleans up to 100 cubic feet of air when using the REMOTE ION EMITTER on a vent. A typical automobile’s cabin is around 100 cubic feet, so AirTamer is an ideal auto air cleaner.
Does Auto AirTamer produce dangerous levels of ozone?
No. Auto AirTamer® produces an extremely small amount of ozone – only 4.4 parts per billion. The EPA limit on acceptable ozone emission is 50 parts per billion.
Can I leave my Auto AirTamer on continuously?
Yes. Your Auto AirTamer has no moving parts and uses a very small amount of battery power from your car battery, so it can be used continuously on long rides.
Will Auto AirTamer interfere with electronic equipment (e.g. cell phones, radios, GPS systems, etc.)?
No. Auto AirTamer meets FCC regulations for preventing interference with radio communications. You may use your AirTamer near your cell phone, radio, etc. without causing interference . Pacemaker patients should first consult with their physician before use.
DirtTamer® V2510/V2400
What is the DirtTamer’s® 3-stage filtration?
Our patented 3-stage filtration provides more suction for longer periods of time. The 3 stages consist of the following:
1st Stage: Large particles are separated from liquids and air. Large particles remain in the pre-filter for easy disposal.
2nd Stage: Liquids are separated from air.
3rd Stage: Small particles are filtered out by the standard foam filter. With an optional HEPA filter (included with some models), 99.97% of dust, pollen, bacteria and other allergens down to 0.3 microns in size are captured.
What is HEPA?
HEPA means High Efficiency Particulate Air. HEPA filters capture 99.97% of dust, pollen, bacteria and other allergens down to 0.3 microns in size (about 1/400 the size of a human hair).
What is the lifespan of a HEPA filter?
HEPA filters will last for over one (1) year of normal use.
Are foam and HEPA filters waterproof?
Foam filters are waterproof and recommended for wet spill pick ups. HEPA filters are not waterproof, but limited exposure does not cause damage.
How much liquid can the DirtTamer® vacuum bowl hold?
DirtTamer® vacuums can hold up to 9 oz. of liquid and 12 oz. of dry spills at the same time!
What type of batteries does the DirtTamer® line use and how long can they run on one charge?
The DirtTamer® V2400 vacuum is powered by a sealed lead acid battery and will run for 8 minutes with a steady level of suction. It can be charged and completely run down approximately 1,000 times during its life. The V2510 is powered by nickel cadmium batteries and operates for 20 minutes, with slowly declining suction after 7 minutes. Ni-cad batteries can be charged and completely run down approximately 500 times during their life.
What types of accessories are included with DirtTamer® vacuums and are optional accessories available?
All DirtTamer® models include the following 3 accessories:
1. Squeegee: a rubber tool for picking up liquid spills.
2. Extendable Wand: patented “two in one” tool operates as a long reach cleaning wand or crevice tool.
3. Upholstery Brush: picks up dirt and debris from upholstery, tables, window sills, etc.
Each DirtTamer® V2510 and V2400 includes one certified HEPA filter and one reusable foam filter. Replacement HEPA filters and foam filters are available.
Additionally, a patented rotating brush (ideal for picking up lint and pet hair) is available as an optional accessory.
